Community Safety and Well-being Update 2024

To provide Priorities Committee with an update on completion of the Strathcona County Community Safety and Well-being Strategy and progress on its implementation.

Strathcona County RCMP Triannual Update 3

To provide Priorities Committee with an update on the progress of Strathcona County RCMP’s Annual Policing Plan initiatives, crime statistics and other detachment updates.

Agricultural Update

To provide Priorities Committee background and rationale for why the formation of an “Institute” was recommended in the Master Plan (2015). Also further context on what it would look like, what it would address and how it would function.

Agriculture Master Plan Transition to Agricultural Framework

To provide Priorities Committee with an update regarding the current review and closure of the Agriculture Master Plan and the proposal to move towards a more collaborative Agricultural Framework.

Immediate Roadside Sanctions Pilot Project

To inform Priorities Committee that Enforcement Services will be implementing an Immediate Roadside Sanctions (IRS) pilot project for impaired drivers beginning in the first quarter of 2025.

5.9

Housing Affordability Strategy – Housing Uses

To provide Priorities Committee with an update on actions to increase opportunities for supportive housing uses.

Housing Affordability Strategy – Mixed-use Neighbourhood Services Zone

To provide Priorities Committee with an update on the implementation of items to allow for residential units in County facilities and mixed-use developments on County lands.
