To seek Council approval of the repeal of Policy GOV-001-039 Opposition to Conversion Therapy and Bylaw 28-2019 Conversion Therapy Prohibition Bylaw to align with recent amendments to the Criminal Code.

To seek Council approval for Strathcona County’s participation in a provincial asset management cohort; jointly with Alberta Municipalities, Rural Municipalities of Alberta, Infrastructure Asset Management Alberta, and funded by Federation of Canadian Municipalities Municipal Asset Management Program (MAMP).

To seek Council approval on changes to upcoming Council budget meetings dates and to provide an overview of the budget process.

Bylaw 52-2022 amends various Council procedures-related bylaws to comply with recent changes to the Municipal Government Act and to make other housekeeping and clerical changes to ensure effectiveness and legislative compliance.

To provide information to Council to make a decision on third reading of a bylaw that proposes to amend Land Use Bylaw 6-2015 to rezone approximately 61.84 hectares (152.81 acres) of land within Lot 4, Plan 002 3193 (SW 10-51-23-W4) from AG – Agriculture: General to RA – Rural Residential/Agriculture in support of a proposed subdivision of the subject parcel into three lots.

To provide information to Council to make a decision on third reading of a proposed bylaw that amends Land Use Bylaw 6-2015 by rezoning approximately 2.13 hectares (5.26 acres) of land within Pt. of NE 10-53-23-W4 from AD – Agriculture: Future Development zoning district to C5 – Service Commercial zoning district in support of a proposed subdivision of the subject parcel to create one service commercial lot in accordance with the Yellowhead East Sherwood Business Park Area Structure Plan.

To seek Council approval to add a Special Council meeting on September 13, 2022.

To add or remove items from the Councillor Request Report; and to serve Notices of Motion that will be brought forward for debate at a future Council meeting.
